Turkey – The Turquoise Coast and Istanbul

From Day 1, when you are met in Istanbul and transferred to a domestic flight taking you to Antalya, to Day 15 when you will be transferred back to the airport in Istanbul for your international flight home, let us show you “OUR TURKEY”.

Our itinerary includes visits to Greco-Roman ruins and large ancient cities and ports; see Roman aqueducts and amphitheatres, including the best-preserved amphitheatre in the world dating to the 2nd Century A.D. We will walk you through history visiting rock carved Lydian tombs dating to the 4th Century B.C., through the summer residence of Alexander the Great, castles built by the Knights of St. John in the 1400’s and the birthplace of St. Nicholas.

Enjoy walking through a spectacular gorge and see the countryside with goatherds and camels, farms and greenhouses. Spend a day cruising the Mediterranean to view a sunken Byzantine city and Lycian sarcophagi, to swim and anchor in enchanting lagoons and to enjoy a BBQ lunch cooked by your captain. Visit some of Turkey’s beautiful sandy beaches set amidst Roman ruins. Travel by boat to spend time on a beach that can only be reached by water.

Experience the sights and sounds of Istanbul. Cruise the Bosphorus and let us show you “our picks” from the Ottoman nooks and crannies of this magnificent city as well as the major sites. Visit both the Asian side and the European side of this vast and colourful city.
